Lawdiva was selected by Postmedia Network (the largest Canadian publisher of English language newspapers) to contribute to their election coverage in their goal to discover what issues are important to Canadians. My first story covered three new criminal laws brought in by the Conservative government prior to the election announcement. See my April 4 post “Fighting Crime in Canada”.

I moved from Canada to the USA about 10 yrs ago to marry my husband and create a life here til he retires and we can return home. The system in the US is just as messed up as Canada’s on Family Law and they also strive to destroy not help families. To make a long story short I came here with my 8 yr. old daughter,(who thru the years made some very bad choices) ultimatly I asked for help from the system and was persucuted by the very same system that I asked for help. She chose to go into the system by creating lies that they know are lies, but they fail to hold her accountable for those lies. The system has put my family thru hell and although numerous lawyers agree with me, none will take on “the system” because the system has very deep pockets and it would take too long to fight them. I am now telling people with troubled teens NEVER to ask for help for them ’cause they will go through hell like they have never seen before!! So take heart its not only in Canada….its North America!!
